Default 17" wheel suggestions??

I just bought new tires for my stock 17" rims. My rims are peeling and bubbling with rust (salt here in the winter did a job on them), so i started thinking that I could buy another set of 17" rims and transfer the new tires on them.

So, I am looking for suggestions on 17" rims? Replace with same stock? Paint my rims? Buy aftermarket rims? I know 18" or 19" would look better, but I want to stick with 17" since just bought new tires.

All suggestions (pics even better) are welcome. Thanks!

I would ride the new tires out with the current rims and then get bigger rims. There's no point of buying new same size rims because you just bought new tires. Always go bigger from stock.

I have to agree with Nick's suggestion. Wear them out, then buy new 18 to 20's. Or see if someone on here is selling their stock 18's.

These are OEM 2008+ AWD 17 inch rims they have same exact tire size as the older rims. This is exactly what i did when i noticed bubbles and stuff on my stock rims.

My 2011 is exactly the same as above. Let me know if you still want the stock 17" wheels since I'll be taking them off this spring for bigger wheels.

Why dont you keep the old 17" you have now for winter and buy a new package for summer? Of course there's other cheaper alternatives. That's what I did, I kept wore out my stock 17" and then used it for winter and then bought a package online, I didn't go all out so it wasn't that expensive at all.

Just picked up an 06 GS300 AWD and need to replace tires. I intend to stay stock with my first rubber
replacement. I have searched the site a bit and did not easily come to an area where there was a thread
on run-flat vs non replacements. Would you all share your opinion on that and give recommendations
for non RF replacements? thanks! rc

Definitely non run flats ....they are too loud and don't handle the greatest. Plus they are $399.00 each, and you can get a better performing tire for less than $200.00 each. I bought Goodyear gt's.

Thanks! That is what I thought however this forum seems to have a handle on everything and it
is model specific with the input being invaluable from what I can see.
