Default car shaking over 75MPH

can someone tell me what might be wrong with my car. my car is really smooth under 75mph. it is really straight and has perfect alignment. i can drive 65 with no hands on the steering wheel. but once i reach over 80mph my whole car starts to shake. and if my girl friend is in the car and she talks her voice sounds all funny too cuz the car is shaking so much. i have stock suspension. any suggestion on how to fix this. also if i should get new suspension should i get all new stock suspension or should i get lowering shocks and spring

Mine doesn't shake that bad, but it does nonetheless. It was never fixed perfectly with the TSB on the steering rack. It had a horrendous shimmy for almost two years, until lexus came out with the "fix", but never cured the problem 100%. I'm having the shake more often now, and since it's on and off, I'm 100% convinced it's something going on with the rack-and-pinion again.
I might have to address this with the dealer before my warranty expires in a month. I hope they don't have to drive the crap out of my car again until it shows up; that's why I hesitate to take it again.
Hey, and lowering the car is not going to get rid of that problem, but if your shaking is there all the time, it might be an alignment or balancing problem instead (much better problem man).

I would have your wheels balanced again---usually that does take of the shake. Especially since you are on stock wheels and stock suspension.

I had the problem too after getting new tires on my car. I kept messing with it at the local tire place and they couldn't seem to get rid of it. I took it to lexus and paid them the $60 and get it taken care of. It is 95% gone, good enough for me.

ap0718 is right, have your car balanced. if the car shakes it is a balancing problem and if sways left or right its an allignment problem.

Definitely tires are out of balanced. I had the same problem and some weights fell off the wheels. Depending on the legal speed limit, you might have to drive the tech around because some will not drive above the speed limit because of liability issues.

Default shimmy

I experienced a shimmy from the front of my car between 55-65MPH which was caused by the TSB mentioned earlier but if you only get a vibration above 80 there's a good chance it's your wheels.

I didn't see a TSB for the rack on the 1993 GS3.

But I could have missed it.
