Default Intalling Strut Brace?

So I finally got a strut brace from the classifieds but when I position it on top to install the bolts do not line up. Now if my memory serves me correct do I have to jack up the car to be able to install? I could have sworn I read a thread saying that.
Thanks in advance.

Oh in case youre wondering it was the Strut bar off an aristo.

I had to jack my car up to put the TRD bar on and most do. Some are weird you can just slide on.

I had to jack my car up and unbolt the the nuts so the strut can be released. That enables the bolts to move down a bit giving more room to slide the strut bar in.

Default I have the same bar

Put the left side on first and the right side will go on with a little effort.
