Default DRL/HighBeam/Parking Light

Im Confuzzled about this. The daytime running light, is just the heigh beam at a lower power level, and when you activate the high beam its the same bulb at full power?

whats the parking light....and its purpose?

Can i replace the bottom bulb with a 194, to make the housing bluish?

You can replace the bottom bulb (194) with another bulb (PIAA, etc.) to make the housing whitish/bluish when the headlights (low beams) are on/activated.

I had gotten the led wedge bulbs off of ebay for my parking lights, they have a nice cool blue tint to them. I'll try and take a pic tonight.

Yes the DRL is the high beam at half power. I just installed PIAA Ion yellow in the wedge bulb and it looks amazing. I think all the blue/purple wedge bulbs looks tacky.

How would the car know if you were attempting a parking manuver? They have to be turned on manually (with the corner lights, taillights, etc.) via the light fob. Also, they are on when your low-beam headlights are switched on (either automatically or manually; depends on fob setting).

They come on when your headlights are turned on. They are always on when your headlights are on. Why you dont you just play around with them and figure it out?

On your ranger do you have three positions for your light switch? If so it should be OFF - Parking LIghts On - Head Lights On. I really can't think of any car in the US that does not have atleast three positions.
