Default Replacing hood cable and latch

I was wondering if anyone knows how to replace the hood cable and latch? I did a search on this and found quite a few people who had trouble getting their hoods to close properly, but no DIY instructions!

Did anyone here replace the cable and latch on their own? Some instructions on the DIY would be nice

try pulling on cable by the front drivers side headlight and closing it.

I can always get it to close eventually by pushing on the hood release inside the car, but I'm tired of this and want to replace the cable and latch. I'm wondering if this is even a DIY job?
