For those of us who have the stock speakers with a nav system. There is a way to hack into the nav and customize the levels of sound. I will try to find the thread that tells you how this is done. Here it is. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...t=pioneer+hack
Is there absolutely no navigation override for 98-00 GSs? It makes me hate using my nav so much because me or passenger can't punch in stuff when I'm driving. When I'm on the highway trying to figure out where I am, the nav is pretty much useless.

I seriously don't know what you guys are talking about. From the time I've owned my car (from about 2001) I've never had a problem entering a destination while the car's moving. I just tested and confirmed again last night while driving on the highway.
2000 GS400 Platinum Edition, but it shouldn't make any difference.

Yup the HD based one . The HD one should be the one that lets you input a destination while the car's moving. I've driven some DVD based ones (the newer model Lexuses), which I have to do the override thing on. But on my GS I've always had no problem.
Am I the only one? I always thought it was like that...
