Default I need a new battery!

ANy recoomended brands? How are the batteries at Autozone?

I have 35,000 miles on my GS, is it normal to have to replace a battery around this time? Its been almost 3 years since it was bought.

Unless you're running a full audio system and probably an upgraded lighting system I don't think you're battery should die after 3 years. A lot of people usually get the Yellow Top battery, I went to Sears and got me a nice Die Hard battery.

I'm running a Walmart battery Working great so far and they have a 3 year no questions asked free replacement warranty. If the battery ever craps out, there's always going to be a walmart within 10minutes of your location in any city in America lol.

Default Battery

I got mine at Cosco. Only about $54.00 and it has a full replacement warranty for up to 3 years, then after that, its prorated.
Had a yellow top and it didnt even last 2 years.

Optima Red Top here... i have a substantial stereo, but didnt feel the need to go with a Yellow Top, since i already have a high powered capacitor.

I run the DieHard Gold. I have run these in my other cars in the past
(including my MR2 with a 1200+ watt audio system) and have always
been quite satisfied.

The DieHard Gold comes with a good warranty (5 year, I think). My last one only
went three years (partly due to the ten month long paint job, where the car
was not started often) and crapped out about a month after I got the car
back. Sears tested it ("bad") and replaced it under warranty... no pro-rating,
no BS... they were great!

I had a WalMart battery in one of my Fiats for a while... it was adequate.
However, I just couldn't bear the thought of opening my Lexus hood
and seeing the words "WalMart" in there!

Sears no longer carries the Optima line from what their tech told me when I bought a new battery there about 3 months ago for my SC3. The Optima line has been replaced by a new series called "Die Hard Platinum."

But yes, they get my vote because of the replacement warranty. I normally go in before the warranty is over and have them swap in a fresh one no questions asked

In my GS I have a Costco Kirkland battery, just purchased in Oct '06.
