For those of you who upgraded to HID, or have a retrofit done, where did you mount your ballast if you went with an aftermarket kit? i've got the xenon depot phillips made ballasts.

 

Under the headlights for lowbeams, behind the crashbar for fogs.

 

you mounted them ON the headlights underneath it or what? anybody have pictures of this? the plugs for the bulbs are like 10 inches long, it's not long enough haha

 

I mounted my OEM Denso ballasts where the stock ballasts would be, which is on the actual headlight. If it's not long enough you might have to find a new place.

 

Arent the ballasts waterproof, I would just put them under the headlight or some where flat with double side tape.ALso which kit did you get and how much was it?

 

the 'oem' package. it's a d2s phillips bulb, and phillips ballast. it costs like 350? it came with the wireharness too, so it's all ready to go. i'll do some more poking around later, and see if i can comeup with something. i'd love to mount them on the crashbar, but it's just a little too far.
