Did you have the vibration that's associated with the broken mounts? If so, was the ride much smoother after the install of the mounts?
The common symptom for broken mounts is vibration felt through the steering wheel (esp at a stoplight while in drive), and the thump that is felt when you turn on the A/C at idle. Plus each gear shifts a bit harder due to drivetrain shock.
After I got my mounts in, the car felt like new again. It idles lower for me (dont ask why), and I have no more vibration, other than the rumble from the exhaust.
A little off topic, but what are the symptoms of a bad transmission moint? I had my motor mounts changed recently, but did not have the tranny mount changed. Just wondering.
