Yo or Hello to whoever. Im having an issue with my remote. When I exit the GS and arm the alarm, I get no beep like I use to. Infact there is a delay for the locks to lock. has anybody ever had this issue?

Key battery has nothing to do with the chirp. The sound is coming straight from the car.

I knew that but I went to Radio Shack anyways cuz it was time to get a bat.
I guess I posted it funny. My problem is when I lock my doors with the remote or even exit the GS it usually locks itself and you will here the alarm arm. well it doesen't any more. I have to lock it with remote but no sound, still locks but it aint perfect like it should be. Who out there has had this probem and solution.

The same thing happened to my sister's RX. I just pressed the "panic" button until the alarm came on and that fixed it. It might work for you too, give it a try!

Hi there you two!

My GS tonight started similar symptoms as your vehicle. When I close all the doors and press LOCK on my master remote, the doors lock, expect for my driver's side door and no alarm sounds, however, the lights flash. What was your solution to this problem? I also used my wife's remote on my car and had the same issue.

Thank you so much!

Sounds like you guys are having door actuator trouble. If one of the doors does not lock the car will not activate the alarm. It may still flash the lights but you will not get a beep cofirming the locks and security. Doule check your doors after you arm the alarm, mine didn't entirely stop working but kinda half a$$ed lock the front door so that I could actually pull the handle slowly and unlock it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Bill!

I called my service writer at Lexus of Austin this morning and he diagnosed it the same way you did. When I asked him much a new door actuator was going to cost he said about $300-$400. Ouch! I'll put it on my wish list I guess or until it begins to drive me nuts to have to manually lock the doors everytime I get in or out. I'll also get pricing from the guys at Lexus-Parts to see if they can cut that expense down some. Wish me luck!

Same problem with mines, but I think it does it on mines because one of my doors do not lock or open by itself, using the unlock or lock button on the doors doesn't work nor does the remote...I have to manually use my hands to open it or key.

I don't know if your a DIY'er, but there is a post on here about replacing those actuators. I haven't done one in a long time but I remember they weren't too bad.
