Default Garmin GPS Mounting

I just picked up the Garmin Zumo 550 for my Harley and GS 400. I'm looking for an alternate mounting for it in the car other than the windshield. I'd rather not have it in my direct line of sight.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I am getting one of these from Proclip.com - I have one for my g/f's Civic to mount her Garmin NUVI 350 and it works great...very sturdy mount.

I saw that mount but have concerns about how much it blocks the vent. I like my AC.

For a SHORT while...i actually used that kinda clip to mount a 7" Alpine navi screen in front of the AC-vents!

But now you might say that ive "integrated" my Garmin-navi into my Kenwood 2-DIN multimedia headunit

To be honest i used purchased this: (KNAG-520)
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/products/L...k3=150&pr=2354

Wich is basicly a rebadged version of this:
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=361

And this FULLY integrates into the Kenwood-unit...using speedsignal, reversesignal and a gyro to "double check" the data it gets from the satelites

You modify and fasten either the whole garmin-mounting foot onto that plate...OR...you use just the "plate" that the garmin attaches to...the last one will definately look the best
