Default Pic request: blacked out DIY grill

Does anyone have any good quality pictures of DIY blacked out DIY grill? I'm not a fan of bling and thinking about debading the trunk...

Also, is there a way to debadge the front w/o that stupid hole in the middle?

Search for 'anti-bling' and you should find one that former mod 'dex' and I did for his car. One sec I'll look

Here you go

I've always liked this look and had an OEM grill painted to use on my GS, but the veilside grill fit in the veiliside hood opening much better so I'm using that.

oooh, thats what I had to put in as the keyword.

and if I were to do this DIY, how would I do this? stripping chrome on all that textured grill is probably harder than I think...

i stared at my car for a while and can't decide if I want to do it or not...
the chrome does add certain balance to the car IMO, and its not like its blingin chrome.

I may just debadge the "LEXUS" and "GS400" badge for now. I never figured out why Lexus has to put a "L" emblem and spell it out.

Because that's how Toyota has ALWAYS done it.

Does anyone know if this method is chip prone? I love the look, but don't want it chipping up in a few weeks,....

Depends on how much primer you use and the amount of highway driving you do. Good thing is, you can always re-spray it! I say do it!
