Default Tune up help

im going to do a tune up on my 98 lexus gs400 w/ 166k miles for the 1st since i owned it since jan 07

i was gonna

change

-spark plugs & wires
-air filter
-timing belt
-transmission fluid and filter



what else should i change? and what kind of spark plugs and wires should i get ? let me know guys thanks

wires? GS' have individual coil packs, no need for wires.

also, think about:

water pump
all your fluids, not just transmission
not sure what else really...ask the dealership what normal maintenance would be for your situation. if not, i know that you can go to: www.luxurymotorworks.com and click on MAINTENANCE, then you can see what they would usually do.

as for spark plugs, i recently bought some NGK IX Iridium Plugs. going to have them installed for my dyno tuning / pulls tomorrow.

easier said than done, i am surprise you didn't say you were going to change cap and rotor too. are you doing this your self or are you taking it in some where?

I myself use Redline 75w-90. However, you can use many kinds. Might as well go with a synthetic since its only a few bucks more than regular fluid, and it protects better too.

You can clean your TB...

What is this "cap" i keep on reading everyone is talking about changing during tuneup
