those were the days. Most people dont search for a car that is from cali. That is salt free. they search for a car that is well taken care of. Dont take my info in a bad way but I was just offering you some help as to know real market values. Right now car prices are at all time lows. Just for reference here is his for sale thread. he asked for $11,000 but he sold it at auction for 9700 because nobody wanted to spend that amount of money for a 1998. http://sr1.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261240

Just like SoCal I bought my 2000 GS400 in 2003. I think I paid waaaaaaaay too much though after hearing some of these purchase prices. I bought my car as a pre-owned certified lexus from my local dealership for $28,999 (they went down from $32,999) and it had 43,000 miles on it at the time...pristine though. Has any1 paid a lot for their cars like I did???
