Default Have a new rattle....need help

Hi all,

I searched but only found the dreaded sunroof rattle(which I have but this rattle is new). Yesterday a rattle started that seems to be coming from either the headliner wher the rearview mirror is mounted or inside the center stack it rattles when I hit small bumps and I can now hear it while the radio is on Anyone here have the same prob???

I'm not sure about that rattle, but when i hit small bumps i know my gauge cluster rattles. Go over a bump and hold it tightly, if you still hear the rattle then I ddint help you one bit.

Good Luck

is this when your sunroof is slid open and not tilted? if so, after it's open, press and hold the switch back and it should slide back just a bit. it should keep the headliner from rattling.

It's not the sunroof although I do have that rattle too. It may be the gauge cluster but it sounds like its coming from the top of the car. It's really annoying

it's the plastic covering the Homelink unit. I have the same problem too. Any ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated

CRAAAPPP that's not it. I took the dome light assembly apart and Couldn't find squat. I think now it's in the headliner by the driver side sunvisor. All i did was bend some clips on the light assembly and if you push up on the headliner you can see a gap between the assembly and the headliner...... I am gonna have my buddy who is a Lexus tech check it out. he says he has extra felt so this weekend we might try to find the culprit....

Okay FOUND IT and FIXED IT!!!!

I took the headliner apart and found an aftermarket hands free microphone antenna, thought that was it...nope. I removed the Mic, wires and brain, still rattling. My buddy who is a lexus mech, popped the hood and found that the battery tie-down had come loose and was banging on th firewall....Long story short, tightened it down and now NO RATTLE!!!! I still have the other creaks which are easily muted by the radio
