Is there a car cover that you can lock so that it can't be taken off by any random person walking the street?

Yes, the California Car covers are custom made to fit your particular vehicle. If you have an aftermarket spoiler, roof antenna, extreme body kit, etc, California Carcover Company will tailor a cover to fit. These covers can be locked via an optional cable with pad lock. No one will be able to steal your cover unless they have a serious wire cutter handy.

Many moons ago at a bank where my GF worked(in Newark) one of the bosses had a cover that he was able to lock to what looked like eyelets in the ground and allegedly was hooked up to an alarm that went off if you messed with it. I guess he could get away with it in his reserved spot in the lot but that would not work in the street.

I don't blame him for having that kind of security in Newark.

I'd like to have the 007 alarm on the Lotus. The one where the bad guy busted the window and everything blew up. Fire damage is covered by insurance 100% without having to pay the deductable. They pay retail price + sales tax. Honest Mr insurance adjuster. My car was there one minute, someone broke into it and the next thing I know its all in flames.

Default Car Cover Anyone?

Just wondering if anyone on here uses a car cover for their GS if you cant park it in a garage or under a car port. If there are, what do you guys look for in a cover? Ive heard that certain covers could scratch the paint if the material is not "good." I really want to get one because I am a college student and park my GS outside my apt. The car has always been parked in a garage when Im at home and I just want to protect the paint from the harmful effects of mother nature.

I bought an OEM one on here for 80.00, I believe. I use it whenever it rains/snows. So far, so good. I've only had to wash my Lexus twice this winter in 3 months.

It fits perfect. But, there are no locks so it could get stolen. The rear plate is exposed by clear plastic. And, the very bottom (2-3 inches) of the wheels/tires are exposed to the elements.

Eric

PS. It also has a screenprinted LEXUS emblem on the front, by the grille.

It bears mentioning that I only drive the car 2x/month or so. As such, the car never really has the chance to get dirty. It does not ever see snow or road salt.

And, I've lived upstate and definetly would use a cover up there. We've had some serious snow/wind storms over the past few weeks. The cover fits snug with elastic on the bottom...it will get air under it but it won't move or fly off.

Let the car covered in that snow storm a few weeks ago and came back once the snow melted to a perfectly clean car

Get a car cover if you leave your Lexus outside!
