Exclamation H E L P !!!!! Please help!!!

Last night I let my friend drive my car home. She ended up locking my keys in the trunk Don't ask guys So both my briefcases, day planner, wallet, my dry cleaning, 2 blazers..pretty much ALL my stuff is locked in the trunk. The 'trunk lock' in the interior is locked, I have a vallet key but Lexus wants $400 to get into the trunk Can anyone help me out here? Does anyone know any other way to get into the trunk..

-How to remove the back seat? The keys are literally right there and I can reach them!

-Locksmith? I called one and he said he couldn't do it but he kept saying just bring it to Mercedes

PLEASE HELP!

Thanks in advance

This happen to me to couple days ago, what you do is turn on the ignition with your vallet key, and you should be able to open your trunk from the inside. Let me know if that works

It didn't work garbage85. How exaclty did you do that? Heres what I did just now..

1. Turned the car on with the driver door open and pulled on the switch, nothing.

2. Closed the driver door and turned the ignition to ACC and pulled on the trunk switch, nothing.

3. Started the car again and held the trunk switch in 'ópen' for 3 mins, nothing.

There was a thread on here about a week ago where one of the members mentioned that he had to remove his back seat. He made it sound pretty easy. Unfortunately, I don't have a link to the thread, but it shouldn't be too hard to find

And how could you forget Rule #1: NEVER let a female drive your car

Lift up the bench seat. You should be able to pull it up wit a bit of force. After that, the backrest are held on by 10 or 12mm bolts I forgot. But you shouldn't have trouble finding the bolts. I believe 4 of them are on the bottom of the backrest, and two of them are hidden behind the headrest, so remove the headrest and there should be a slit in the leather. Pull that apart and try to fit your socket in there.

I did the same thing not too long ago. When the car was locked with the window down I closed the keys in the trunk. What I did was I opened the car from the outside through the window and the alarm went off. When this happens the car disables all the locks including the trunk release. We got under the driver's side dash, found the trunk release wire and touched it to some sort of device that sent some voltage through it and the trunk popped! I had lexus overnight me a spare that worked on the trunk for around $200.

Go to Lexus and tell them to cut you a "mechanic key". It won't start the car or anything, but it'll open everything else.

I left my keys in the trunk once too while installing the rear STB. It's like a $45 key. It's made out of aluminum so it's light as a feather. Fits snuggly in the wallet.

Ok, done! I ended up removing the rear factory sub & mount it sits in. I actually had alot of room to reach in and grab my keys with a magnetic extension. I'm going Monday to get that 'mechanic key' sounds like a gread idea!

Thanks everyone for the help!!!
