Seems like a blow dryer worked (what the heck is the purpose of gluing that thing on there anyways)

Last step is to find out a way to dissemble the emergency latch, keyhole, and latch to close the trunk. Anyone know how to do this?

I'm interested in this also. I have a emergency latch trunk but I bought a wingless trunk that doesn't have it.

Nevermind got it once again

For those who attempt to do this in the future there's one Philips screw on the emergency latch and a flathead screw on the key lock

Once key lock is out proceed to pull towards you.

Of course putting it back. If you don't there's a huge gapping hole.

Its pretty easy to put on compared to the lock. I'm actually finishing up right now.
