Default Opinions please?

Hi all,

Hoping I could get some more input from seasoned vets before I make a decision. I found a CPO '04 GS430 black on black: wood trim package, navigation, mark levinson, etc. Basically all options I've been looking for in a CPO gs430. Only thing that's held me back from going forward is 52k on the odo. Just seems like 52k is a lot of mileage in under 3 years. Then again it's a Lexus and I'm sure it will last forever. What do you guys think about the mileage? The asking price is $34,888 but I'll definitely make them bring it down for all that mileage

Input is appreciated, thanks!

By far not a seasoned vet but know that 52k if nothing compared to some other GS3/400 mileage on here. My GS is clocking 152k and still going and going and going. But that price is steap, I would bring it down to around the $30's. Good luck and it seems as if that 430 is a really nice choice!

52k is nothing. I wouldn't hesitate at all, as far as the mileage. I would base my decision more on the wear and tear of the vehicle. Keep in mind that in 8k miles, the car is due for the 60k servicing. This close to $1000, so try and negotiate that into your deal.

Good luck and send us pics if you get it!

P.S. See if the parts department at that Lexus dealership will give you a discount on the newly available 2006 DVD NAV update. It runs about $240 retail.

52K is not a big deal. CPO adds three years and up to 100K coverage. Lexus just added (maybe a few weeks ago!) a new offer that will allow you to pay for two more years and kick the warranty up to 125K. I think they charge around 2000 for that option (at least here is CA).

Maybe you can negotiate that into the deal. Then you have better than a new car warranty and the miles will no longer be a worry.

Happy hunting!

only the best of the best lexus will be CPO, 52k is not really a concern try to talk them down on the price a little.

Chuckb, that car isn't an LCPO and it's a year older. Shouldn't that make up for about $3k or so in the price? I don't know, I guess it's all personal preference.

Just something about seeing a 430 riding on 16" wheels just drives me nuts!

I don't care if a lexus is a CPO or not... they just don't broke down...
if fact, last time when I bought a Lexus, I asked them to take off the cpo and all that extra coverages, so I can bring the price further down. The Car was 40K and 2 year later at 67K, I haven't experience a single problem with it...
I owned 14 Lexus, and any of them under 100K had few or none problems...
