Default Replacing '99 GS300 Master Window Switch

Greetings,

I need to replace my a broken MWS and wanted to know if I have to remove the entire door panel to replace it. I've done a search and seem to only find 1st gen and RX door panel instruction.

Thanks for any help.

Thanks but there's nothing specific for removing the door panel or replacing the master window switch.

under interior section installing polk audio 6.5 speakers in the front door tells you how to remove the door. i think once you got that off you can just replace the old master switch with the new one.

thanks movingquick - i was pretty sure there was a DIY on there about how to remove the door panel.

replacing the window switch can't be that hard... just unplug - unscrew it or snap it out and swap with your new one.

good luck bdiccus.

Yes you would have to remove the door panel and then take the swith off. I did this not too long ago after 3 of 4 window buttons decided to just snap off. I hope you got a used master switch from somewhere, because Lexus is very proud of theirs, $385 proud. Mine are still just on there broken, I can use the windows but they wont go up automatically like before. Taking the door panel is easy, just be careful not to break any plastic. Good luck!
