I'm shopping for a '02 GS300 with the Mark Levinson Package no NAV. Yes I know bite the bullet and get the NAV but I can't. The dealer demonstrated the Mark Levinson System in a LS430 which had a NAV, the stereo CD feed was located in the center of the dash above the console. The stereo CD cartridge in this LS was not removeable it was fed directly The salesman could not tell me what configuration the Mark Levinson would be for my GS300 without NAV. He said it could possibly be located in the glove box?

Can someone out there tell me what the ML w/o NAV will look like, where and how the stereo CDs load? What display it will come with? I would like to find out before I put my money down? Also I'm still in the process of trying to get the best price possible any ideas on best price, time to buy etc (in the VA area)?

 

The GS300 will load the same way as any other GS with or without the ML system. Glovebox.

Strange that he should demonstrate the ML system with an LS. I've listened ot both and the LS sounds better than the GS, probably due to the use of different speakers.

I believe all ML's come w/ the 6 disc changer in the glovebox...My 01 has it there. There is no single disc feed anywhere.

 

with or without NAV, the cd changer is located in the glove box....

did you know that on the 02 ES300, if you get the NAV, there's a single cd player behind the nav-- you need to purchase a changer if you want to store more than 1 cd in the stereo, and it's located in the armrest compartment.
