Default How much for Mark Levinson?

How much are people paying for the Mark Levinson system? The Lexus site shows the package with DVD/Nav at $3990. They also show the Nav system at $2550 without the ML. That makes the ML worth $1440.

Edmunds.com shows option 'VN' ML./Nav at $3990 (just like Lexus site) and option 'NV' Navigation at $2550 also just like Lexus. Edumnds also shows option 'ML' Mark Levinson at $940.

So is ML $940 or $1440? or is there something else in the $2550 package?

Is it possible to order NAV and ML as separate options and save yourself the $500? I am seriously so confused by what Lexus is doing here... and I have a doctorate degree! The price discrepancy between NAV+ML and NAV/ML is not explained anywhere in the brochure, web site, etc.

The NAV and ML cost more because bundled together, the ML system is capable of playing DVD's that can be viewed in the Nav display. So the $500 is for the DVD playing capability.

If you don't want the DVD playback capability, can you get them as separate options and save the $500? Also do you have a link to your source on where this is explained? Thanks.

I don't think Lexus would biuld it that way. You can either get:

(1) NV
(2) ML
(3) VN

but not:

(4) NV + ML

So what's the bottom line? Anyone heard from an official source such as a dealer what the word is?
