with this being a forum on repairs and mods, i know everyone here must like there ride somewhat, so i'm curious about how long have you had your gs and how much have you invested into it?

i've had the GS for about 7 months now.
repair and maintenance (parts & labor):
-engine mount: $400
-starter: $600
-spark plugs: $110
-engine belt: $40
-oil/fluid/filter: $100
-alignment: $60
Total: $1310
Mods:
Tein strut bar: $120
L-tuned spring/KYB shocks: $500
Daizen sway bars: $500
Borla Exhaust: $300
01+ taillights: $230
LS430 projector retorfit: $300
Polarg bulbs: $100
OEM 17s: $650
Total: $2700
Overall: $4010
If I had to do it all over again, I'd keep the car stock. I dont love it that much to justify $2.7k in mods.

Ive had mine since early 2004, and I enjoy it more and more each day. I dont really look at the amount of money Ive invested in it, mostly because Ive bought used parts here and there, or got parts on when they went on sale through group buys. As a daily driver, I love that its spacious enough for me, has the power I need (and all that I can handle for that matter), and I still get looks from people that probably dont expect to see a lexus all fixed up

I've owned my GS3 for about a month now, and I can safely say that I love it. It's in the shop right now getting some PDR work and a new cat, but other than that the car is mechanically sound, starts up and runs perfect, and looks awesome. I haven't really purchased any mods, but I'm planning a TTE front lip, 01+ tails, wheels, and maybe coilovers and call it a day.

I've always liked my car. But every time I add a new mod the feeling is stronger.
After I got my rims and kit, everyday when I go to school, I would park, walk about 15 ft., and turn around to admire
Now when I one day get to drop in that 2JZ-GTE, it'll be terrific

I have a little under $10k in the car but although the car is definitely holding its own, I dream of something new...a V8

I started working with Lexus in 2000. After being around the cars and driving them all so often I determined I liked the 98-99 GS300. In Jan uary I found a white w/black interior 99 GS300. There's so much I want to do to the car, and can do, but I don't want to take to much from the original. I don't think I'll own anything else again.

Lead Lap
I've had mine for 1-1/2 years and its my daily driver. I've invested some cash into it and I don't regret anything. I still love it!
But lately I've been looking more and more at the SC430s. Damn those cars are sweet!

I've owned it for just over a year and it's the best all around car I've owned to date. Comfort, power, room, reasonable mpg. Mods are wheels & tires, SRT, Bilsteins, and L-Tuned exhaust. We are Lexus fans, the wife wants to upgrade her '01 RX for a '04 GX in the next month or so.

Do we really need to go there ???
