I wont go into the details, but were at 4K and now we get to start the mods... wow, when I think about what 4K in mods would have meant....

I bought my GS stock about 3-4 months ago, since then have dumped close to $3500 into her including oil changes, new this new that. Thats chump change considering what others have invested the first WEEK they got their cars haha.

I like the car, wash and wax it every weekend and dust it every day before I leave the house. Even though she stays in the garage, but I guess taking good care of my cars is something I've always done.

We've had our GS400 since Summer of 2002. I wouldn't say I "love" it. To me, it's just a form of transportation. I park it outside in the bad weather without a care in the world. Wash it whenever I have time, vacuum whenever, etc.

my car: $25K (after tax/tags)

60,000 miles and 2 years later, i have spent:
$1,500 on an eclipse AVN,
$200 for a wood trim kit,
$200 for a tint job,
about $2,500 for two sets of tires and new rims,
about $10,000 on gas ($5,000/yr),
probably in the vicinity of $4,000 on insurance ($2,000/yr)
and then maintenance of probably in the range of $2,000

grand total so far (and this is for barely any mods as you can see by the minimal alterations) = ~$45,000

AND RISING (still to come - HID, upgrade to AVN5435, etc...)

I've had my car 1 year 8 months. It is the first car I have ever owned that I have done NOTHING to outside of normal maintenance. (Not counting painting and installing Lexus stickers on the calipers). I have put 20K on the clock and I can truthfully say it's the best car I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot of different cars.

I have a set of L-Tuned shocks to go on, and I would like to get the STB's, to stiffen up the body a little, but that's it.

Fabulous Wheels 2500
blitz exhaust 400

that cost 4k just for basics, i dont see myself spending more...except window visors, tint, and maybe trd sways

I broke it down once. I actually was shocked with the final rounded number. There is a poll thread from last year that can some it up for you for most of us. Tho I think all of us added to that figure we posted last year.

I think some of us have spent more on mods than the stock car is worth at this point.

Had mine since I joined, and I love it lots.

Days I don't work or don't drive I miss it and start looking for errands.

Sometimes it's hard to explain why it took an hour to go get eggs.

L-Tuned Susp: $330 (such a deal)
Slotted Rotors: $220
EBC Red Stuff: $100
Chrome Tbar: $120
Borla Tips: $120
PZeroNeros: $500
Clear SMs: $35
Annual Ins: $1800 (Philadelphia is prohibitive)
Annual Gas: $1800 (depending on foreign policies and market forces)
