Default Gs460

I read somewhere that the new LS460 is going to produce about 380hp and 370lb/tq. Since Lexus traditionally uses the same engine in most of their vehicles I'm guessing they're going to drop that same engine in the new GS460 and up the numbers to something close to 400hp and 400lb/tq given the numbers for the LS. Now how many of you would want to swap the 4.0 or 4.3 for this new engine?

I'd swap it years later when civics are beating the GS400 off the line and on the roll. Thats when something tells me I need more power, while retaining OEM reliability.

that would be very expensive and complicated to do.

I don't want to wait for Civic's, but when Accords and Camry's start beating GS400's, it's when it's time for a change for me.

And looking at the (usually conservative) 268HP new Camry and knowing that the Accord is typically the class leader in HP when it comes out, those days may be closer than we think

GS460 can't come out soon enough for me.

My GS is fast enough for me. If I want anything quicker, I'll just buy a faster car

I just wish the GS4 had more top end power. Seems like this car is mostly midrange power. You have regular cars with V6s such as the toyota avalon that will trap over 100mph already. We GS4'ers trap around 97 or so stock. Thats a pretty good difference when you're on a rolling race.

man i know you like posting thought provoking polls and everything.. but honestly, i really dont think anybody is even considering doing this basically honda/hasport engine/swap/mount type of job to their lexus anytime, ever, period... and if someone is going to chime in and say OH YEAH, I AM! just save your comments about that until you've completed the swap and can post up full detailed pics of the new motor in your ride ok lol anyway i usually like your threads and question polls but this one is comparable to saying like how bout: "if you could install a turbo charger into your freezer to make ice faster for all your drinks this summer, would you do it?" i know youre the self appointed poll posting king and all but this one is dont post poles like this in the gs forums when you can just change the trim level or name of the car and pretty much post this in every other forum as well haha, wait i didnt check, maybe you already did
