Default headlight question

Just wondering are all the 01-05 headlights come green tint, and the 98-2000 don't?
thanks

From my recollection, there are various headlights for the GS. Plain/clear, green tint, sportdesign, and black chrome.

When I had the headlights on my '99 GS replaced d/t condensation, I got the green tinted ones. When those suffered from condensation, they were replaced with the black chrome version.

There are some old threads in the GS forum which discuss the various headlights extensively (and should have pics). Here's one: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=112333

i would say yes to your question. most or all 01+ GS has green tint unless it was replaced for other reasons.

98-00 had a whole lot of different variations.

The plastic/glass is actually not green tinted......the greenish tone is actually in the chrome itself.

Actually, I think the opposite is true. '01 - onward had the different variations.

Some black chrome ones found their way to the 99s too. They seem to be a slightly differnet black than the SD ones. jawnthen has a set on his 99 and it came with his car.

The SD also came with green chrome, black chrome, and titanium.

Yea I did but they were titanium inside, thats the only sport design I know of, all others were either plain chrome or green chrome. I've only seen those 3 types of headlights for the gs.

This is true. My SA and I immediately noticed the color difference when they were installed on my GS. We even parked my GS next to another GS to compare. This was before the sportdesign titanium lights were out.

Maybe it is the lighting but here are the ones you had for sale. They look like the 02 SD black chrome ones.

Here are the 03 SD titanium ones on DaveGS4's car. It is lighter than the 02 SD black chrome ones.

i don't believe so. 98-00 had the different variations. every singe 01+ has the green tint (except the titanium color on the sport design).
