Default Need help/opinions???

Hey, need input on what the problem could be on a GS that shuts off while driving. Dash lights are on after engine shuts down (not CEL). Engine has no symptoms of any other kind. Car is thrown back into neutral and starts back up every time. Doesn't happen often. So far I've come up with:

1) Bad ignition module - keys being too heavy and making switch loose
2) Fuel Line Auto Shut off?
3) Sensor is loose?
4) Alternator?

Just looking for things to check so I'm fishing but any other suggestions/experiences are welcomed.

Start the car and carefully disconnect the battery - see if the car dies. If it does then your alternator is bad.

Also, do u drive with your AC on?? If not, turn your ac on and see if it dies. Common problem with the GS.

Don't see why the ignition module would be bad - and if so the car would not turn back on when in neutral.

There would also be no reason for your fuel line to cut unless this was only happening under WOT - and even then it still doesn't make any sense.

Thanks Johnny, I'm just fishing here to see what could cause it.

Alternator is ok, did the disconnect battery method already.

No, AC is almost never on

Ignition modules sometimes can get loose (or wiggly - new word, lol) with heavy key chains

The only reason I'm putting the fuel line in there as an option is that I can't think of any other reason for the engine to cut off completely, like that. The car doesn't shut down (radio/dvd still plays) so it makes me think that maybe the car believes it was in an accident (fuel line) and it cuts fuel to the engine?

I'm fishing in the dark so any new suggestions can only help.

I strongly suggest you check the AC - turn it on and drive around. I have had to do this and I have not stalled since.
