Default OMG! am i screwed?!?!

ok so i'm changing my spark plugs, right?

i start on the passenger side... easy enough.. got all 4 changed.. ok la dee da..
so then i start on the driver side...
first off, it's a pain in the *** to reach the damn screws.. so i finally get the first one loose (the one closest to the front of the car) and then i detach the little wire clip thing from the coil pack.. then i proceed to take off the coil pack and *POP* the top part comes off but the rubber tube with the spring inside is still stuck in the pipe!!!

anyone know what i can do? if i take it to lexus, do you think they'll be able to fix it?
WHAT DO I DO?! so right now i only have 4 TM plugs in and 4 DENSO OEM in.. how long do i have? is my car safe? should i be driving it around or not?

i need ALL things i need to watch out for 'cause i don't know anything about cars and i don't think Lexus can get me in for the most - a week..

oh and i have a 2000 GS400

also, this guy said that he thinks the SPRING is actually wrapped AROUND THE SPARK PLUG END? that didn't make sense to me because when I look at it, it doesn't look wide enough or long enough to come down and wrap around the spark plug...

Same thing happened to me. Just use some wd40 and spray a little in between the boot and use a pair of long needle nose pliers to wiggle it free. The coil pack can be reatttached to the spark plug boot with no problems unless it's damaged when you get it out.

Oh yeah, forgot to add don't yank on the boot too hard cause it'll rip it. Try to see if it'll move from side to side. It should pop right out.

No problem. As long as the boot's not torn and the spring inside is not all mangled, you can just reattach it to the coil pack. Just remember to be patient and work it loose.
