Does anyone know how to reprogam the remote on a GS400.

I have some new ones from a 98 LS400 and was wondering if I could make them work.

Thanks,
Scott

SC400. I had to make extra keys for my car and the dealer told me that the keys are for a one time program only. If they were already programmed, u cannot redo them. Thats what my dealer said. I hope it helps.

A couple of months back, the dealer found an extra set of keys that fit my car. The remote works, but when trying to starting the car it would turn but not fire. The dealer then reprogram the remote and it works. I would advise you to check with your dealer and ask them about it. It can be reprogram, I can check with my dealer.

As long as you have a Master Key (The one with the buttons on it) then you can definately reprogram another key.. Not sure what your dealer will charge you for this thou.. My suggestion is to get more than one quote from dealerships in your area for this work..
