Try and figure out how to take out the motor and power it up to see what it does.

I'll definitively try that as soon as I figure out how to disassemble the bottom of the seat without making more damage than good . It looks intimidating.

Default asci01, did you fix it?

Dear ASCI01, I have exactly the same problem with my 2001 ES300. Were you able to fix it? My string is in a different forum at

Aliga might have a used track for sale. I swapped a 98 to a 2002, but I had to use some 98 parts to make it work. They are slightly different. One long bar up front nededs to be swapped and the seat belt buckle. If you source a same year it shoukd be plug n play.

Default I’m having the same proble

I have a 2006 Lexus IS350 and the passenger seat won’t move forward or backwards but it makes a click sound whenever I push it. It goes up and down the back tilts forward and back but not the bottom. Were you ever able to find a solution?

Mine is a 2001 ES300. I purchased a new seat motor, then had my repairman work on it. He took the seat out, got it working and reinstalled it. He did not need the new seat motor. He just said "In future, do not move the seat all the way back or all the way forward." That was 2 months ago. No problems since. JC
