I just got my kit this weekend and I want to get springs for my car before I put it on. What is the perfect drop I should go with if I get 20 inch rims? I am thinking of getting coilovers but if I don't, would an inch drop look right or is that not enough..

Any input would help me greatly..

drop level also has something to do with your ride comfort. I think with 20s don't go too low. Therefore, L-Tuned springs/shocks. 1 inch drop, very comfortable still, yet looks obviously lowered and better handling too.

A 1" drop might be enough but it really depends on few factors...like how low is your kit, how are your roads, do you drive up/down steep driveways, etc., etc...

Height adjustable coilovers are the best way to go because if you notice that you're scrapping here and there, you can just adjust the height...

Well I'm using the h&r/bilstein combo and I think the drop is just right. You don't really want to go too low with 20's on just for safety precautions in general.

I'm running a Sportline front-end with 19's, Eibach/Bilstein combo. It drops about a little over an inch and for me is perfect. I drive my car everyday so I deal with speedbumps, parking bumpers and steep driveways. My car doesn't look slammed as some guys like, but it is driveable.

You can get the Eibachs from tirerack.com for about $285.00. GS4will on the site can get you the Bilsteins delivered to your door for around $425.00.

I'll include a pic of my car with the 19's and Eibach/Bilsteins.

Hi David,

did you just washed the GS before you took the pic? i can see the reflection off the shiny door panel....

Lextacy,

both l-tuned and eibach+bilsteins combos are ideal....Diesalman has the HR+Bilstiens on 20s. let me know by PM me if you want the bilsteins(they have limited lifetime warranty against defect under normal driving).
