Default question about c-one strut bar..

okay as always i did my search...and i hear talks about c-one strut bar about barely fitting on the gs430 with cover and i did some research and found that the v8 engine is bigger but it sits lower than the i6 engines...and i have a gs300.

now here is my question....well the c-one strut bar clear without my engine cover? i guess for a c-one strut bar...i will sacrifice my engine cover correct me if i am wrong...but engine cover is basically just for looks right?

thanks for your help

cody

correct, in terms of engine clearance, the v8 is wider BUT lower than the i6. i think it might be a bit risky with the cone. i have seen it on gs430, it's rubbing a bit and you need spacers already

Just go the cheaper route and get the newly designed carson bar or used RMM. C One is nice but nothing special.

Is the 430 a taller motor that the 400? I have the RMM CF cover with the C-one bar and it fits perfectly.

the engine cover for the 400 is exactly like yours (the rmm engine cover is just the stock engine cover plus cf, i thought?). but the 430 engine cover is completely different looking, new design. it doesn't show any of the "cylinders" at the top, it covers the whole thing

there are 3 variances of the engine covers, for the gs430 (all silver), sc430 (half black half silver), and ls430 (a bit different from the sc430 one i believe)
