Hey Wringo,

I just recently had pieces like my engine cover and fuse covers done in the CF treatment. I wish that I had a nice turbo under there though to help out

I like the CF treatment...was that expensive to do, and is it painted, or an adhesive treatment? Look great.

Wringo, a fellow Nor California member TAMR_GUS98 had his engine cover painted to match the jade green exterior of his car....looks pretty smooth in my opinon, and was definitely the first time I had seen that. Just another treatment to consider for your engine cover.

Look'in good!
Thank's for the pic's guy's! This gives me something to dream about. I have a question? I see some engine bay's with the engine cover on with the strut tower bars and some off. Would a RMM strut bar fit over a 2000 engine cover? That's what I'm looking at doing with a painted cover or carbon fiber look! Keep the pic's coming! -wringo

Ken- can't wait to see what the new bling looks like, its like how can you make perfection look any better?

Wringo-there are many thing you can do, being that you have a silver car I would go with something like what Rich did. A CF overlay on your oem parts with some light touches of bling and Body color matching parts will transform your Bay into a nice personal show piece. Not sure if you ever had seen my engine bay before the swap but here is what I did. added the newer bigger engine cover and chromed a couple parts like the intake, rmm bar, sheild and got chrome battery terminals while I got the prolex header cover with color matching some other plastic pieces for a nice clean yet different look.

before-

Than it was the new project where we picked and chose with the Help of Ken and Rmmgs4's wife's is3 project we did some chrome while picking out the right pipes to leave blue with some other light touches like the polished OD cams and Pulley's.

all in all their is a lot of things you can do. I personally would try to emulate Rich and Ken since you have a silver car, their engine bays are a work of art..

last one of mine..

engine bay!
Thank's, Adrian! No I had not seen the engine bay before the swap, but it look's great as well! You answered my question about wether the RMM strut bar would fit over the engine cover! Most members remove this piece for some reason with the strut bar, which had me wondering! Thank's for the photos! TTurbopimp, has a nice clean engine bay as well as Lexusondubs(Shawn)! Keep the pic's coming! I'm leaning towards the painted look to bring the exterior color to the engine bay area for now ! I may add a few shiny pieces and CF down the road! (Cost) Lol!-wringo
