Default Relocating climate controls

For those of you who have done this, can you please post some pics... I am trying to decide whether or not I want to do this so that the double din head unit I am going to get will sit higher... How easy or difficult was this to do? Does the climate control panel fit right down there or did the sides need to be shaved?

Yes the sides need to be shaved. I did it with a belt sander initially and then more careful sanding with 220 grit sandpaper placed on a table and running the bezel across it. If you do this carefully you won't damage the surface.

See my original post for the rest of the story.
