Hi guys, I am not too familiar with GS bodykits because there aren't too many here in NYC. I would hope for something fiberglass but I need to know

1) How is the quality of GS bodykits made in fiberglass? I hope its not those flaky POS that I see on honda's.

2) I need a clearence of at least 5" and up. Anything lower will be hard to swallow as the city streets are unforgiving.

3) So far I know of WIN RACING from my bud D-man. He and I checked out this guy with that kit and the quads that he wanted. It looks mint but too low of a ground clearence. Any other company that makes fiberglass?

4) Whats the most popular kit on a GS? Plus where is the best place to order them in terms of reliabilty and price?

Sorry for so many question but I want to get it right the first time and not regret it.

Peace guys.

Default Body Kits

Try WWW.GTAUTOSPORTS.COM for the largest selection of GS Body Kits. Are you sure that you want fiberglass, especially on the front? I have Rod Millen front and WIN racing everything else. I wished that I would have gone with the complete Rod Millen Kit instead.

the real fiberglass body kits are very good and durable, plus if they get damaged they are easy to fix, most of the japanese kits fit very well unlike the honda kits

I can't stress this enough, do not get those American Made Copies of the japanese body kits. They stink, i don't care how much they are, they stink!!!! Well the most durable body kits, is either the Rod Millen Kit or the L-Sportline, or the TTE Lip. They are all made of polyurethane is what the stock bodies are made out of. The japanese kits are mostly fiberglass but they are made in such a way that they are a lot stronger than those made in america. With any fiberglass, it can crack when you hit something dead on. With polyurethane, it bends and so it is more durable. If you get the HyperRev Aristo Volumne 34, it shows tons and tons of body kits.

Hey man ! Look into the Rod Millen bodykit. I know you want to be one of a kind in ny and you will. Even though Rod Millen is popular, its not popular in NY because no one has a bodykit PERIOD. .

That Win Racing kit that we saw is toooooo low. The owner even said "My car is a weekend car"

Go to www.rodmillen.com and check out the pics!

Hello.

1) Fiber glass kits doesn't mean they'll be bad. Like GSnav said, don't get any imitation kits and they won't be the POS flaky ones.

2) 5 inches is easy if you don't lower your car too much. My front lip is lower than some bumper replacements and right now with L-Tuned I'm getting 5" clearance at the lowest point in the front.

3) Most kits today for the GS is fiberglass. A few that are not are RodMillen, L-Sportline, TRD/OEM bodykit from Japan, and my Gracer front lip spoiler. Those are urethane, which is ALOT more durable and bendable than fiberglass. But once they break they're not easily fixable like fiberglass.

4) Most popular kit, alot of people have RMM but that could be the practical reason, because it's cheaper, and more durable. Plus it doesn't look bad at all. I think alot of people on ClubLexus likes EXPLOSION, and would get it if it's not that expensive for a kit.

If you wanna order kits, try Dave @ gtautosports.com, but he's a busy man and might not return your call or E-mail for up to forever. For now I would try contacting Hiro. He has fabulous prices on kits and anything you want from Japan (please don't tell him you want Japanese girls). Here's his website

Your springs/coilover is what's going to really affect your height. However, add-on kits (like the JDM Toyota kit, TTE, kit, etc.) tend to have decent clearance.

If you're interested in the JDM kit, contact Steve Ganz @ Carson Toyota...he has a couple in stock...he can also get the TTE front spoiler...

Thumbs up thanks !

Thanks guys. I checked out Rod Millen and its a nice bodykit. Also I've been looking through the gallery and see many nice bodykits there as well.

If I do get the bodykit I will have to adjust my coilovers because right now I have the slammed look. I wouldn't want any bodykit where I cannot use my stocked foglights. I see some bodykits where I have to get aftermarket round foglights.

I assume the fitment for the Rod Millen is a perfect fitment because otherwise it wouldn't be as popular as it is.

thanks again.
