Default Finally bought the LEX

I like to say hello to everyone I just bought my first Lex over 2 hrs ago its a 98 gs 300 with 93k the 90k maintenance has been done timing belt, water pump new plugs etc... I bought it at Hendrick lexus in charlotte nc. Its loaded with every thing but the nav. It's not my main car but i always loved this body style the looks the ride every thing is so sweet. I love to keep it for a long time as i've been looking on this site and see all the mods you can do to a Lex so I'm going to try to keep it simple cause a man got bills and stingy wife. I was wondering can somebody pm me about some simple mods i can do to get started also are there anybody from the Charlotte nc area. Thanks and glad to finally get the Lex!!!!!

Search the site for "DIY" mods. Also there's another site with lots of DIY mods:

http://lexusmodz.netfirms.com/

Have fun!!

Congrats!

I'm from Charlotte as are about a dozen other members (that are fairly active).

We're going to participate in a multi-car meet in about a month. Check this link in the Southeast forum for details.

Your best bet for cheap parts is to watch my posts when I upgrade stuff and sell my old ones locally

Welcome to CL.... Well some minor mods would be.... Grille, clear bumper lights, 01+ tail lights,
exhaust tips...

Moderate mods..... SRT intake, full exhaust or section exhaust, springs, wheel tires...

These are just a few.... You said you've been searhing this sire for a while so you know what is minor or major mods...

Good Luck with the new car..

Lol, no 430 just the LS400. Acura is gone, replaced with a Porsche and a BMW.

Post up in the meet thread if you think you're going to make it!

Thats what i'm afraid of I had an 1990 300zx spent alot of money doing mods looked good but i kinda of over done it. This Lexus looks so good as is I'm kinda don't want to do any thing that i'll regret later I'll probaly hold on this gs 3 for about a year and try to find me a Gs 400 or 430 and hook it up like Daves LOL
