Default help with keyless entry

my gs is having trouble with the keyless entry,,, sometimes the key will lock the car but might not unlock it... sometimes it wont do anything,,, then i will have to use the keyhole then it will read it again and work again,,,,, usually happens when the car gets hot... any ideas how to fix it and how much,,, also has anybody with a gs ever decided to go with a full aftermarket alarm...

Actually yes I have put quite a few aftermarket alarms in the gs's. The main reason they do it however is to add the remote start option. As far as your problem with the factory remote you should try the other transmiter if you still have it and see if they are both doing the same thing and then you can eliminate your remotes and focus on your vehicle. But an after market alarm would most likely take car of the problems your having, it would control door locks and parking lights and whatever else you wanted to hook up to it and how crazy you wanted to go.

you could try holding both buttons on the fob untill you get a solid light (resets the alarm)
