Default Oem 2001 Gs300 Navi

I'm looking to purchase a OEM navigation unit and was wondering if anyone knew how much the wiring kit costs or if it's even available??

thanks..

to put it on a non-nav car? good luck man

the harnes sis all different, and it will cost you tons of money just for the harness, you can go check.

basically it's not worth it i say

If you want OEM nav, you'll need ML stereo. Isn't it time for an aftermarket nav/stereo or carputer?

Default Navigation

I would tend to agree with the folks here that you should go aftermarket on the Navigation.

I too wanted to add Nav to my 99 GS400 and did lots of research on the topic. But after reading how difficult it is to install, and not to mention the cost of all the required, and pricey updates on the maps, it seems like its just not worth it.

I have come to the conclusion that its probably best to get a double din eclipse unit and finish off the front bezel to look as much like stock as possible. The cost will be less, and the unit will probably be newer and nicer.

Good luck.

nop that's not correct. you can find nav by its own. it's rare but it was an option for 01. starting 02+ you get them together

Default Nav

i dont understand why everyone always says its so hard to install the stock nav unit into a non nav gs. I pulled the nav out of my 98gs4 and put it into my friends non nav gs3 very simple install in my opinion, everything worked including ac. I believe I could have done the install myself but my friend just had a shop do it. they charged 300.00

from my understanding the 01+ are harder since the unit is in the trunk, more harness involved, and if youare "lucky" you will have to deal with ml as well
