nice mods, especially considering your did the spoiler install by yourself!! props to you!! If it were me, I'd still be driving around with holes in the trunk from having measured it all wrong

Default Spoiler install

I have to admit, it did take a lot of guts to drill through my trunk lid. Drilling the holes for the spoiler was easy though. It came with plastic strips that have hollow pegs on them. You place the pegs in the screw holes on the spoiler then position the spoiler on the car on top of the strips. When you have it just where you want it, tape the plastic strips to the car and drill a small hole down the center of the peg. I stopped when I knew I at least marred the paint in each hole and removed the strips to continue drilling. Then I drilled the holes to the proper size and it was a perfect alignment. The only other hole I had to drill was for the brake light wire and I marked that using the gasket that came with the spoiler and had the 3 holes punched in it. Just line up the 2 holes already drilled and the 3rd hole is there.

Next? I thought I was done but it's an invisible bra for this weekend, sometime soon painting the front grill and now I want new speakers for the doors. So many of you were correct in that when you start, you can't stop.

Thanks. Wow, that is a lot of black chrome. It looks nice but I do still prefer gloss black so the door handles and trunk garnish will stay. I didn't even know it was removable. I have not tried any dealers including Carson for the front emblem but I need to soon. I will want to have it when I paint my grill. Where are the pictures from?

The lower chrome strip that goes down the sides and across the back bumper is another item I would like to change. I suspect that the car has had body work because the strip on the rear bumper is gray and not chrome. As if it were stripped off. Is this normal? I ask because it is like that on my wife's GS 300 too. Just gray around the rear bumper. I would not mind if I could remove it and change it to black chrome or gloss black.

The strip on the rear bumper has probably just dulled. I thought the same thing on mine when I bought it, but a little polish and it is shiny like the rest.

The chrome bumber strips are a flexible material that fits into the groove in the bumpers. It has an adhesive backing. they cost about $50 from the dealer. Might be available as a generic part at auto store for less.
The black chrome parts are made by a Japanese company. The pics are off their website:
