I don't think you could get that much. As I understand it, you have the hard drive based unit and upgrades stopped in 2002 or 2003 and will never be supplied again. Then, you have to consider aftermarket, you can get a Garmin unit now for around $699 that would destroy the cababilities of your stock unit. Finaly, any buyer of your system is getting a 8 year old system and the possibility of the screen or hard drive dying soon are likely.

I would say if you got maybe $1k you should be doing cartwheels of joy all the way to the bank. More realistic would probably be $500-$750. Check e-bay and see what they are going for. Look at completed sales, not just what people have them listed for.

sounds like a great idea.... ive checked before...i didnt find anything that really helped....im guessing if i sell this id have to relocate the climate control and do some other things.... im trying to get an aftermarket setup....theres also some people who want factory navigation...so you never know... id even consider a trade for a full aftermarket system.

yeah i think 1k is the most you can ask for. someone was trying to sell his in the classified and i think it was even under 1000. it's hdd base and it's old, a lot of aftermarket systems are comparable if not better these days, so..

I would tend to agree with what everyone else has said. $1000 obo would be what I would ask for it. But how difficult is it to install for people that don't have the NAV connections??

Default stock navi

Tone
There are many folks who might be interested in your navi as some here have stated that they would wish for stock setup. This is even more appealing to the folks here on the CL because of the DIY instructions that can be found here from others who have done the Factory install.

Some things that go against your sale as have been mentioned here is the age of the system and the fact that Lexus has not released an upgrade of the Maps since 2003 and doesnt seem to care about supporting it as it has now moved toward DVD based systems (just like acura). The final consideration is that this system cannot be installed easily into a GS which has the Nakamichi setup as the wiring is different between the systems.

Good luck in your sale, I do believe that you could get $1000 for a complete setup quite easily and possibly couple hundred more.

it's not each to change the stock system to the nav system, coz' the wire harness is different so you need to change that as well, and it's very hard coz' you have to take off tons of stuff. overall it's not worth it.

and between dvd and hdd base, it's very different. first of all i assume you can find a dvd nav just by itself and not with ml (which means only in 01). that's even rarer. for the dvd unit, you will need a while new trunk carpet and stuff coz' the unit it in the trunk. and of course all the wire harness too.
