Windshield Glare
Just recently bought a 2001 GS 300. The windshield doesn't look pitted and looking out from it is excellent, day or night. However, at night the on-coming lights are unbearable. Lots of glare..... Looks like the glass has some king of finish on it, but not sure. Has anybody had this experience ??

How does the Percentage work ?? Is the lower the number, lighter or darker ??
I think I have 30 on front side windows and 40 on rear windows, but not sure.

mine is just 50% nothing crazy but im thinking of going dark because my eyes are sensitive to the lights at night...plus aslong as you have a doctors letter saying you need the tint you cant get a ticket...

Hmm, good idea....I might need to get my doc to write me up a letter

Any tint on the front windshield other than a 4 - 6 inch brow is illegal in most states.

Probably just dirty.

As for the tint being illegal, yeah, it's illegal everywhere as far as I know. I also LOVED having it on my old car because it cut virtually all glare from the interior on sunny days. And it looked cool too
For cleaning your windshield, try getting a good clay bar system (and learning how to use it). That'll take anything off your windshield. For dirt on the inside, I go with any non-ammonia glass cleaner. You'll need non-ammonia if you have tint anyway. I find Costco actually has some pretty decent stuff (not in the car section).
Best of luck!
