holy crap....what's strange is that it would just fall off, without you even hitting anything....

Dang dude that is a bummer. You had to hit something because from the looks of it you had that thing put on pretty well. Not to mention, it looks like what ever you hit also pulled the plastic cover under the motor out from a few of the mounts. Sorry man, in the dark things can really sneak up on you. I hit a chair on the freeway one time, swerverd at the last second and only got a little finish transferred over to my bumper.

Maybe you hit a rat, I know newyork rats are the size of small puppies. Is that how they put the lip on in the shop? they just glew it on top of the original paint?

Thats crazy becuase the same exact thing happen to me.... i really didnt hit anything. Same exact situation where i heard a large bang but infact all it was, was me running over the lip. The lip did not have not crack or dent on it, it's amazing. These lips are extra strong

Sorry to hear of the mishap. As for molding the lip, that has more to do with filling the seams and/or reworking the shape. That has nothing to do with how the lip is attached. If it was not attached securely before molding it, it will eventually come off.

I agree with neo. If they didnt do a good job on the prep/securing then it wont be very strong. It sucks to see this because it looked like such a clean job
