Default Question about Wind Visors

Hey Guys....

I have been doing some googling about wind visors and not finding convinving answer as to whether they reduce wind noise at high speeds or cause more noise. I know the main function is to stop the wind and rain hitting your face.... but do they cause more noise or not. I am sure alot of members here have them installed... I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

I dont think they make any difference in wind noise. I think the main purpose for them is if you smoke and its raining, you can crack the windows down and not get water inside the car.

They do not reduce wind noise for sure. I use them to keep the freaking Texas heat by cracking my windows a bit in the Summer.

They neither increase nor reduce wind noise. They let you crack your window open, when it's raining, without getting your interior wet. They work.

THe main purpose is to reduce wind noise while driving on freeways of excess speeds, with all of your windows down.

Can't comment about them on a Lexus but I do have them on my Saturn. I have them because I endulge in that nasty habit of smoking and when it rains I can still crack the window down and not have the rain come in while driving. I did not notice any increase or decrease in wind noise, I'm not crazy about how they look, if I didn't smoke I would of never have installed them. However, if you ever want to crack your windows in the rain for whatever reason they work great!

THats the purpose but it doesnt work that way. So it's just mainly for looks & for you to open you windows a bit during rain.
