a couple of questions about them

a) where can i get the RMM one the cheapest?

b) is the TRD one hollow?

c) could i cut the bottom of the TRD one a bit so that it would fit?

d) where could i get paint to match the color of the TRD brace?

thanks.

I would avoid the RMM one...many resellers won't carry their STB anymore cuz the quality sucks.

>b) is the TRD one hollow?

Yes.

>c) could i cut the bottom of the TRD one a bit so that it would fit?

You can do anything! I don't recommend it. Part of it's strength comes from the fact that it's a tube...once you ruin that "structure", it's integrity goes right down the tube. I'm sure Miguel (gs4power) could elaborate some more on structural integrity.

>d) where could i get paint to match the color of the TRD brace?

Any body shop can do it...they should be able to colormatch it for you also...make sure they use a good quality paint like PPG. They may ALSO need to use a high-temp paint. If you want it powder coated, you'll have to find a place that does it.

Sasha, I'm currently developing a GS300 specific STB (either in Titanium or Aluminum)...if things go OK, I might be able to have one custom finished for you to match the TRD STB's... (of course, it's going to cost more).

yea, i think all GS300 members or at least the majority want the trd one, except it just doesn't fit... maybe if you you designer and steve from carson all went in on this together, it wouldn't have to be expensive, and steve could label in a genuine TRD part! my idea would be a center part with a smaller diameter but thats not hollow, so it has the same chassis holding abilitiy, or make in an oval, but a oval slightly angled towards the front of the car, with the TRD logo on it, so it looks as if its facing you when you look at it when you open the hood, i'll sketch some drawings and see what i can come up with,

thanks man!

oh and if someond could give me the dimensions of the current TRD brace that would be much appreciated too thanks.
