They're pretty much the same thing.. The Tom's is is painted a burgandy and the bar across is sorta ovalish.. Where as the TRD the bar across is round and is painted a greyish.. Oh, and the TRD has a "TRD" badge on it.... It all depends on your personal preference...

As Mrsypher said, only personal preference. Your car will feel tighter up front but no difference between the 2. Seach for pics and even more info, thanks.

I also saw a much less expensive one the other day and it looked excellent as well. Not sure of the brand but they're sold on eBay I believe.

Yup I saw those.. But to behonest with you... A STB is a STB as long as if it's not made from aluminum foil...

Dude, didn't you see the Tom's on my car and the Rod Millen on RMMGS4's at the pizza place?

Get whichever brand name bar floats your boat. I like the Tom's because (1) it matches my car and (2) they have a bunch of matching parts which I was going to get anyhow. While having an STB might make a difference I would challenge anyone to tell the difference between bars in a blind [performance] test.

yeah i did
but then i like the way TRD looks , but if the Tom's does make more different than TRD, i would go for Tom's

like i said many times, the stb doesn't make anything significant at all. if anything, any stb would be the same. just like what redgs4 say, in a blind test, i doubt more than a few people in a hundred will be able to tell if there is stb, let alone brands

Well when I put a STB on my 95 Maxima I could tell a HUGE amount of difference. Hell... even my g/f could tell a big difference and she couldn't possibly care less about the way a car's suspension feels.

I plan on doing the whole front and rear STB with front and rear lower chassis brace setup very soon here... I'd bet I can tell a massive difference with all of that together at once. But with just the one front STB I wouldn't doubt if it'd be hard to tell since the GS is already such a rigid unibody platform.

And yeah I really doubt you could tell a difference in bars.

If you really want to find out just put both brands of bars under slowly increasing pressure and see which flexes first.

Dude for the record Toms's=TRD. Tom's is Toyota's Japanese performance division and TRD is the AMerican division and TTE is the EUropean edition.

How about searching for pics and all the info u need?
