Hey guys, i searched and found a way to access the menu of my navigation system. I tried it but that's not what i'm looking for.
I remember reading once about a way to allow you to type addresses, etc... while the car is moving. Anyone know how to do it?

if you have 2002, try this:

menu button
system button
touch top left, bottom left, too left, bottom left, and then bottom right

see if it works

so far i know of 3 ways to get to the screen for different yrs dvd nav

everyone else, PLEASE be VERY CAREFUL. it's the manufacture setup screen, mess up the settings and you get youself in trouble

The navigation works while the car is in motion (obviously), but it does not allow you to input POI's, addresses, calendar info, etc.... I will try this tomorrow to see if it works.

yes I know Navigation works while in motion!!! anyways it also lets you punch in address while the car is in motion when the override is used. I believe it resets eveytime the car is turned off though... so basically you have to enable the override everytime you get into the car.

If you are refering to the reset, it is true. You have to do the procedure each time you start the car.

Where is the system button? Does it come up on the screen somewhere?

Maybe one of these other options:

What options do you see when you hit the nav "menu" button?

This seems like it should work, i'll try it tomorrow:
Thanks for the link!

Press Menu button on right side of Nav Screen
On this Menu Screen screen, it includes the "Suspend Guidance button, etc."
In the top right corner there is a DVD button
Press the DVD button which takes you to the DVD Information menu which tells you what DVD version is installed in your car
On this screen, press the touch activated screen as follows:

1. Top Left
2. Bottom Left
3. Top Left
4. Bottom Left
5. Bottom Right

The Service Menu will appear. Press and hold the "Override" button until you hear a beep and the button is highlighted. This is allow you to enter addresses, POI, etc. on the Nav system while the car is in motion. You must re-do this each time you restart the car and you can do it while the car is in motion so it can be helpful when your passanger can override the system and enter addresses for you on the go.

Nevermind! I just did it a couple hours ago. I figured out what i was doing wrong...
After I held the override button down and it beeped, i would exit the screen by pushing the menu button. When i exited using the BACK button, it worked! Thanks guys!
