Took a little visit to the dentist today and read the new Automobile magazine they had - it showed all the new cars for 2006. They have Hyundais coming with 235hp and even the new Civic SI if coming with 200. I mean man - I got spanked by a Neon the other day (SRT 4) it's ridiculous that these cars are coming with this type of HP and we are sitting at 220 and 300 stock.

Don't know about you guys - but i'm getting worried.

Eh... I see where you are coming from but I bought my GS4 for the everyday drive with a little power. If I wanna race I pull out the SC'd cobra.

 

I agree...I have other cars for power...BUT it is kind of disconcerting knowing that a Hyundai has more power than my Lexus.

But seriously Man - That Little Srt4 Moves - This Guy I Know Was Telling Me His Friend With A 400hp Porsche Got Slaughtered With His Girl In The Car By 2 Kids In One - But I Don't Know How True That Is - 400hp Vs. 240hp. If It's True Then It Has To Be A Weight Thing.

 

Man I feel you, My buddy has a SRT neon with the stage 3 upgrade and is putting 325RWHP on that light little car. Those things are little monsters with crazy upgrade potential.

 

And You Can Get A Used One For Like $15000.00.

 

Think about it...what would you rather be driving...a dodge or a Lexus. The only thing the srt has going for it is speed.

 

Alright, enough of the BS.....Will Lexus ever make any car with 400 HP or even 350??!! I mean its great to be the U.S. sales leader and all but If Lexus ever really wants to be seriously taken as Luxury PERFORMANCE Cars then they got up the ponies man. I have a serious problem with Nissans and Acuras matching them HP wise . Hybrids are great technology/ecology forward cars and I'm glad they are the first Luxury car maker to step out but come on already. I know they may never pass or even match the "The Germans" in the HP race with 490 because it's not their focus but ..........

Oh yeah how could I forget (there has been enuff speculation and spyshots about it) ...That will be cool Jonny if and when it hits the road with those #'s. Hopefully we'll take delivery of them when it does debut later next year. A faster GS should soon follow. If not I'm gonna turbo a Kia Sephia and put ///AMG badges on it so I can ****** all you CL members' women.

RONSKI23, Just curious, if you're concerned about power, why didn't you get the V8?

hopefully the GS460 will have 350-400 hp.

 

lexus is for creature comfort not ***** to the wall hp
