Default Push Button Ignition For GS

Just wondering if anyone had this for our cars 98-05 models... I saw them on a website yesterday that i was brousing called Optionsautosalon.com. They had them for other vehicles mostly universal ones... I thought what a great mod to do...I'm sure its more complicated than it sounds with fiment, wires, etc..... just curious

I am sure with enough $ and ingenuity, you can rig something up with the remote start systems. You have ones like the Vipers or even the one from LMW. It just will be a VERY short range remote.

I think this would be a cool mod but in the end it may be more trouble than its worth. Looks like it can be done from the pics chuck posted

Its not to hard to do. the only thing you lose is the cigarette lighter. The install takes about 2 hours. Im no sure how you do it, but Autoloc sells them. like $150. I would do it, but its not the style im going for, plus i need the power outlet for my radar detector.

on the current one, yes, probably you need to have your key hidden somewhere

the push button starters dont replace the key, they work in tandem with it. you still have the Key for the car and still need it to start, but instead of turning the key, you just push the button while the key is in the ignition. From what i understand, you are bypassing the Key start feature and making it a requirement for it to start by pushing the button. Its not like the New GS setup where the button starts the car, you still need the key in the ignition to start the car.
