Anyone experiencethis? After you floor the gas for a while , and come to a stop do you get that burning rubber smell like from under the car? I have a gs400.

 

It could be a plastc bag that cought on the exhaust and is burning off when the pipes get hot and the second explanation is when you get on the throttle in any car they give off a burning a smell, I though it was just the regular cars that stink when pushed hard; but I whooped the crap out of a 911 turbo and a clk55 amg and they smell the same way as my GS300.

 

You beat a turbo and an amg with your gs3?, I dont even think thats possible with a supra twin turbo engine and alot of tunning.

 

Dude are you crazy I meant drove them real hard. Those cars will beat my gs in reverse

 

sometimes the cats give off a stinky smell after moderately aggressive driving too. it doesn't smell like burning rubber though. like BkLexZ said, did you check to make sure there's no plastic bag stuck on exhaust?

The man has an issue with his car what does beating enzos in your mind have anything to do with helping him resolve his issue.

As I responded earlier I never said I raced 911 or a clk55 amg in my gs 300. I said i drove those cars real hard and they give off that foul odor. It can also be the brakes if the exhaust is clean of any plastics being burned on to it. .

 

its more like a hot electric smell rather than rubber. i have magnaflow ss mufflers. i rest the ecu again to make sure that it is not a cooling fan issue. floored the car again and it is not as noticeable. Wow you beat a amg benz lol

 

yeah.. i was racing this 330 i bmw and waxed him. there was a red light and i had to brake hard. i have akebono ceramic brake pads. could it be those pads that give off that hot electric oder?

 

could be the smell of those pads when they get toasty. try to heat them up again and give them the sniff test.
