I am needing to get a new set of chrome emblems for my 99 GS 300....Where can I go to get these, beside paying the dealer's astronomical price? Also, can I get a center steering wheel crhome emblem, like the 2001+ have? Thanks.

Sometimes you can find them on ebay. You can also give Carson Toyota a try.

Did you hear about an alternative to those chrome ones. Oem 'black pearl' emblems'

 

I was just on ebay and they have a few sets.... I looking for asterring wheel emblem also... I posted a thread to find out the size.... Do you know?

 

I second the idea to place a want ad in the GS classifieds. Chances are you can get one there cheaper than going to Carson. You may have to be patient though.

 

MOST of the ones on ebay, esp the ones coming out of Hong Kong, are FAKE. Buyer beware.

 

you'd be better off buying brand new real oem. they'll be nice and shiny with brand new adhesive on them. try Sewell lexus or Carson for discount on real ones. I think I spent about $120-130 for an entire set when I switched mine from gold.

as far as the steering wheel emblem, it is an embedded part of the air bag and only came on 01+.

 

I got mine for $68 from swell, including hood emblem

 

I ordered a set of black pearl emblems for my GS400 on E-bay. At first I thought they were fake, then I said to myself why not for only $45. When I got them I compared it to my friend's IS300 with OEM black pearl. I couldn't find any difference between the two. I've had it for almost 2 months now and it still shiny like the first day I got it.

 

Ebay is your best bet. Check there....very affordable.
